    I saw this name on the home page and fell in love with it instantly! It's on my gp list now! I think possible nn's could be Kara, Kirri (keer-y) or even Lily. I think it flows well enough with the last name Cottam.

    Hey-they are correct how to pronounce it. Wrong about Maori roots. I am no expert so will not be offended if a fellow Kiwi comes along and corrects me but as a Kiwi my understanding is that The Maori alphabet is restricted to fifteen letters - h, k, m, n, p, r, t, w, a, e, i, o, u, wh, and ng. (No L's). The name is not really heard of in NZ often-very rare. True to form Maori names however are not rare.
