Oh hey there, entire female cast of Merlin except for Gwen. And entire female cast of Camelot except for Igraine. I love this thread already. I'm procrastinating writing my paper about Sir Gawain and the Green Knight right now, so the timing couldn't be more perfect.

This was my absolute favorite book when I was little, mostly because I have a similar name and liked to think I looked like Guinevere (we do have similar coloring!) The illustrations are truly spectacular--there was one picture in particular of Guinevere looking at her reflection in a polished table that I used to stare at for hours on end. And I also really liked that Guinevere ran around in the woods dressed like a huntress and encountered shapeshifters and fought terrifying beasts.
But anyway. Names. Most of my favorites have already been suggested, but:
Now that Rosamund and Rosalind have been covered, how about Rosaline?
For Occitan names with a similar vibe, I recommend reading Kate Mosse's book Labyrinth. The story is only so-so, but the names are fantastic.

I love those faerie books as well. Gorgeous! Rosenik is beautiful, Kala! Cygnus, I implore you to share awesome names you come across...
Liviajoan, I am not saying all the names are usable. Just collecting! Tamar is gorgeous and fits perfectly. Aurelia, Winnifreya and Bernadette fits too. Philomena and Fiammetta are crossing the border over to frills in my head, but beautiful names (and on my list for future babies).
Elizabethrose, Alys, Arden, Freyja, Gwendolen, Gwyneira, Gwyneth, Everild, Matilda, Millicent, Selene, Thalia, Tinuviel, Veronica all fit in nicely. I'm trying to exclude frilly names (so lots of beautiful names have been mentioned, but I'm not adding them because they're too sweet and princesslike ). Thank you!
Geekie, Igraine is there, you need to have a better look I love Gawain and the Green Knight, by the way, if I ever have a boy, I'm 95% certain he'll be a Gawain. Rosaline is crossing the frilly-border for me. I do love Aira, Eira and Enmyria. The Kate Mosse books do have some good names... Dearest already suggested the enchanting Rixende! Thanks, sweetie.
c@29, ooh love Eowyn, Forestyne, Eadwyn, Amoret (I forgot to put this on myself, so thanks!), Ravenna, Clemence and Thora! Thank you!
Will add to the list later today. My darling Marian Illyria Aphrodite, March 2013 & Little Bunny (a girl!) due 9th of February 2014
