Is this name too plain??
I'm curious what your opinion of this name is. I find it classic, sweet, feminine, and understated. I've always considered it as a middle name, but am thinking about its potential as a first name....hmmm...

I didn't vote, because while I don't LOVE Kate, I do quite like it. I honestly wouldn't use it on its own, but that's only because I adore Catherine so much. I think Kate is refreshing, sweet, timeless, a bit quirky, but still sort of laid back, if that makes sense. I have only ever really met two Kates, and neither are what I would expect a Kate to be like, and that's what makes Kate so great, I think--it's so versatile, and it really can work so well for so many different kinds of people!Lise
