I really think Clover is adorable! If you don't like it as a first name, you could always use it as a middle (maybe with a family first name) and have her go by Clover/Chloe.
My first thought was Clarissa (on bounceparty's list), which I find really adorable. But I also really liked bounceparty's suggestion of Claudette - which also opens the door to Claudine and Claudia.
Personally Clothilde is not my favorite, but others like it and it's less of a rare name in France. But I do immediately see "clot" and "cloth." I naturally think of Clothilde grouped with Hilda or Brunhilde - but perhaps it would feel cuter to me if I thought about it as a mash-up of Chloe + Matilda?
