I think Thaddeus is a fine Biblical name. Does the mn Gil have family significance? Do you pronounce it like the first part of Gilbert or the Spanish/French way (jeel)? English speakers may think it was like the fish part (gill). Well, I guess if some parents are naming their sons Finn, Gil is usable. Hey, Thaddeus Finn sounds good.
    All the best,
    Mischa.

I really dislike Thaddeus and Thad. I feel like I am going to push my teeth out of my mouth when I say it.

I like Thaddeus - but Gil seems too nicknamish and short to stand on it's own.

I actually really love Thaddeus Gil. The bluntness of Gil tempers the flair of Thaddeus. It sounds like a character name by Jules Verne.
