I'd actually like my first name, Reine, as a surname (but with the prn Rain instead of Rainy). It was my paternal grandmother's maiden name- I was named for it. It wouldn't be bother me as much when it was butchered, but it's simple, memorable and looks great on paper.
I really like my two syllable maiden name because it goes with everything- except for initials. It starts with 'ph' so it makes an 'f' sound. And while alliteration works well (like with Phoebe), the initials are PP- something I could never do. But Finn Ph-l---- does sound good.~lucy reine~~ celestine eira ~ mary simona ~ elizabeth echo "ellie" ~ eleanor maeve "lena" ~ vivienne isla ~ celia matilda "cici" ~ catherine aiko "rin" ~ elsa verity ~~ jasper red ~ evander lachlan 'evan'~ kai nicholas ~ ezra link ~ avery thomas ~ michael satoshi "mischa" ~ finn jeremias ~ ezekiel hayden ~ alexander rowan "sacha" ~

Dellacosta, which I found on my family tree. Uncommon but easy to pronounce, and really pretty (to me anyway).
