    I always thought it was aim-uh-lee until I did a little more research into it. Personally, I'm not fond of the "correct" pronunciation of the name.

    Same here. Though without the accent it's somewhere in between am-eh-lee and ah-meh-lee for me (not a huge difference though...). I like the French pronunciation but having studied French for so long the English one feels a bit off to me.
