Maewyn is believed to be St. Patrick's given name. I would not use it for a girl, considering the history. For Welsh (and maybe all Celtic) names, the -WYN ending is masculine, while the -WEN is feminine.

    How about:

    Cerwen
    Anwen
    Meleri
    Bronwen
    Proud furmom to:
Pepper, Kuno, Mia, Rosalind, Gwendolen & Cecily

    Tiernan Hugo~Felix Lysander~Orion Casimir~Caspian Milo~Evander Anslem~Leonidas Gavin

I just think of a little Welsh boy or the name Maeve made trendy-sounding.

I also consider it very boy-ish (probably because of the -wyn ending).
It would be lovely on a boy though.
