    I think it's beautiful. It's an established name and spelling but I think people would confuse it with Amelia and think it was a creative spelling. I had it on some of my lists when I was naming my daughters and many people told me this. But it's in Shakespeare and I think it's lovely. But the Amelia/Emilia confusion might be a bit of a nuisance - especially since Amelia is a popular name.

    I really like it. Where I live nobody would assume it was a creative spelling or made up, because Emile/Emilia aren't as uncommon here. It does sound very similar to Amelia.
