    Brother for Francesca Rose?

    Hello

I don't know I'm definitely having a boy, but I have a long list of girls names that I love. I just totally struggle with boys names.

Daughter is Francesca Rose. I am half Italian, but married to a Brit with a british surname, so not Italian surname. It doesn't have to be an Italian boys name but it would need to work quite well in Italian. The problem is I think it can sound quite pretentious, potentially (but that might be me over-thinking!).

I also have a ridiculously fussy OH!

Things I *think* I like so far include:

    Enzo
    Quinn (not Italian at all!)
    Alexander
Lucas (although quite popular in the UK now)
    Milo
    Cole
    Joseph

    Any suggestions?!

    Huge thanks

    x

Favourites from your list are Enzo, Alexander and Lucas. Although, only Enzo is Italian, which is fine if you're not dead set on carrying on the Italian theme. Here are some Italian suggestions that could have English nicknames:
    ~ Alexius (Alex)
    ~ Antonio (Ant, Tony)
    ~ Benjamino (Ben)
    ~ Gregorio (Greg)
    ~ Leonardo (Leo)
    ~ Matteo (Matt)
    ~ Maximo (Max)
    ~ Roberto (Rob)

    Good luck!

Have you considered Luca instead of Lucas? Alexander is a classic that goes well with Francesca.

I love Lucas, even though it is very popular everywhere right now. I think the fact that it works in multiple languages is part of the appeal. Lucas with a British last name would probably cut down on the "pretentiousness" you say you hear when you have a very Italian name with the ln.

Luca is a very good alternative that is a little less popular.

Discussed Lucas/Luca with DH last night and he was not keen at all. No reasons, just flat no. Hmm! So I've asked him to come up with a list of his own!
