Golda is Gold-ah, as in Golda Meir. Another possible nn is Goldie.
Gita is pronounced Gih-tah - with a short I sound like Gidget.

My actual name is Jane, but Gigi was a nickname given to me by a former employer. She was Syrian and was having difficulty saying my name so after a couple of tries, she gave up and said "I just call you Gigi". My family still calls me Janie, but I liked having a spunky/exotic nickname that had no real connection with my ultra classic name. I thought that this could help you by possibly widening your options.
Not so done having children after all. We're not ready for TTC quite yet but when we do get pregnant, the husband handed sole naming rights over to his name obsessed wife!

Idea: Have you thought of Colette? Gigi is an 1944 novella written by French writer Colette. You could use the name Colette as a first and have Gigi as a nickname surrounding this idea. It seems quiet cool. You'd have to read the novel though and it may not work.

    Anyway hope this helped x
