    I agree that the Y spelling would have her being called YUS-a-beau more often than not. Plus to me, the "I" looks more feminine and lends tot he NN Isa or Issy.

    On a real child? Isabeau. On a character for a book or movie? I like Ysabeau. An Ysabeau is going to spend her life struggling with pronunciation and spelling!

    I would go with Isabeau, there would be little to no mispronunciations. However, with Ysabeau, you will definitely have to correct people more often.

    I actually thought it was spelt with and I for lost girl also until yesterday!! lol.. I like it for a story or character but im not so sure i could use IRL! Im guessing its liek Yvette or Yvonne.. they are EE sounding!
