    Estrellita! And I second Hespera, although I wouldn't use a nickname for it... Then there's Esteri and Estera (Esther variations).

    Elizabeth? It's a lovely biblical classic like Esther but perhaps too much of a stretch. I was thinking Elizabeth > Bessie > Essie?

    I LOVE LOVE Essie alone as a first name! It is in my top ten--probably top TWO--favorite names for a girl. If you aren't open to entertaining the idea of using Essie on it's own, I suggest:

    Annessa
    Aneska
    Esmeralda
    Cesia (<< this is a Spanish variant of one of the Biblical daughters of Job whose name is translated in English as Keziah/Kezia/Cassia...the Spanish variant is pronounced SAY-see-uh, and you could get Essie from it)

    I second Elspeth nn Essie!! love the name and how Essie is such a fresh nickname option!
