    Charlie - Just Charlie?

My DH and I really love Charlie but I don't like Charles at all. I find it quite formal and stuffy and it just isn't my style. However, we keep coming back to just Charlie. It goes against one of my most important rules (no nicknames as given names), but I'm wondering, just how bad is *just* Charlie? Too nicknamey/childish or acceptable?

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!

I know three little boys just Charlie. I don't think there is a problem with that at all.

Darling, you're in England! There will be thousands of little Charlies walking around, no one will think it's too childish.

Oh my goodness, I love just Charlie. I have started liking Charles, but Charlie by itself is fantastic!

I love Charlie as well. There's nothing wrong with using it on its own.
