    I like it a lot, but it'd probably be better suited for a middle name.

    It's a guilty pleasure of mine (can't have a Lotus and a Petal). I think it would be a sweet fn. To me Poppy is ridiculous but a lot of people like it so I see no problem with Petal

    I'm a big fan of old-fashioned and traditional names, but I've got a "middle names only" list made up of whimsical names including Petal! I think it's adorable.

    It sounds super cute and that was a nickname I heard a lot as a child. As well as blossom by Nanna, but I can't imagine it as a real name.
