Traditional, strong, sturdy names that have been around a while?
Major thank you to Liviajoan for helping identify my husband's naming style.
My husband likes:
His naming style is MUCH different than mine. I do not like top 100 names. The first three are names that we hear a lot around here - family, friends. I HATE the nicknames Will, Mike, Alex and Nate. The only one out of his that I would even consider for a child would be Isaac. I sort of like it, but I don't love it.
Any suggestions for strong and sturdy boy's names that might go along with my husband's style?

I'm not great at this, but a few popped into mind. I have no idea where they are ranked, though:
Noah (this one is getting popular, I think)
Jeremiah (this is one of my faves, as are Nathaniel and William, so maybe he'll like it too!)
Ansel (not sure this is either of your styles, but it just came to mind for some reason)
