I like Brandon! It's a bit more dated than Brendan but I think Brendan is becoming dated, too. I also think Brandon sounds best with Jeffrey and Rachel.

Oh I'd like to add, that depending on your heritage, one or the other might fit you better? My husband is Irish, so that's why he's named Brendan. His parent's also believed it wouldn't be a "complicated" name, but unfortunately, he often got confused with Brandon.

    Brandon is English.

In terms of spelling, Brendan is the original, so I would stick to the original to avoid confusion, if you go with Brendan.

    Thank you, everyone!

You're warming me up to both Brandon and Brendan. The association with the kid up the street probably isn't too big of a deal, and the more I say Brandon the more I like it.

Thanks for all of the input everyone.

I've always loved the name Brandon. It has positive associations for me, so it makes me sad that it's now considered dated. Brendan always seemed like a knock-off. haha No offense to anyone- it is a nice name on its own.
