    Thoughts on Anton?

I quite like this name but wondering why it isn't so popular. Any ideas? What comes to mind?

I like it a lot. To me, it has a very distinct northern European vibe to it (I put it in the same mental category as Anders). Some friends of mine named their son Antony (they're from Holland), and it suits him very well. I think Anton is quite a nice name.

I really like the name Anton. To me, it's very Eastern European as I've known a few Russians with the name.
