    Honest Opinions Please

Okay lately I have been really liking the name Clementine with the nn Clemma. Is is usable or should it be on my guilty pleasure list? For some background I live in a small rural town in the southwest U.S. and have never heard that name around here before. Please be completely honest with your opinions! Thanks in advance Berries!

I think Clementine is very usable - there is a chance people will think you named your daughter after the fruit but who cares, it's a beautiful name. I don't love Clemma though; it makes me think of Clem which makes me think of Flem and then I get to Flemma.
    alternative nn suggestion: Minnie
    Aurelia - Endora - Illyria - Lorelei - Merida - Ofelia - Penrose - Tabitha - Viola - Zenobia
    Alaric - Anton - Cedric - Dexter - Erich - Felix - Hector - Hendrik - Leonidas - Victor

I love Clementine, and I only know one girl with the name, who goes by Clemmie. There are so many nickname possibilities - Minty is just ADORABLE, but some consider it a bit of a stretch...I'd have to go with Araminta instead *sigh*. Good luck - Clementine is lovely!

Ok, I'm going to have to disagree. To me it sounds like a completely backwoods name... mostly because I associate it with the song "Oh my darlin', oh my darlin', oh my darrrrrlin' Clementine..." Personally, I don't see it as a name that she's going to love if she becomes a professional, as it does scream "I'm from the backwoods." To me, it'd be much better as a middle name (then she can use it if she loves it, and hide it if she hates it). Were it not for the song, it wouldn't be bad... but it's a pretty common children's song.
