LOL, I'm reading Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's Chronicle's Trilogy - nothing you probably want to look to for names. Tanis, Flint, Tasslehoff, Goldmoon, Tike, Caramon, Raistlin, Sturm, Riverwind, Laurana, Gilthanas, Elistan, Fizban.....no judgments! I know you all secretly love Dungeons and Dragon's as much as I do. >_>

I'm reading Round House by Louise Erdrich. The main character is Joe. There's also
    Bazil
    Geraldine
    Sonja
    Mooshum
    Clemence
    Luke
    Cappy
    Whitey.

I'm also taking a YA materials class (I'm getting my MLIS) and reading a ton of YA books. So in the last 2 weeks I've read:
Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block:
    Weetzie

    Duck
    Secret Agent Lover Man

    Uglies by Scott Westerfield.
I can only remember Tally, David, Peris and Shay.

The Color of Earth by Kim Dong Hwa.
    Ehwa is the main character.

    Doing It by Melvin Burgess
    Dino
    Ben
    Jonathan
    Sue

    Ali

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.
I've only just started this one, but there's a Simon and a Clary in the first couple chapters.

Going Bovine by Libba Bray. (Which is a really great reinterpretation of Don Quixote)
    Cameron
    Gonzo
    Dulcie
    Glory
    Jenna
and a band called Copenhagen Interpretation!

This is totally off topic, but- isn't The Road, totally effing devastating? The world went a little pear shaped for me for a while after I read it.

There are some interesting names and enticing books noted so far!

I've just started Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie. Very excited to have it finally - I was like number 200 on the list when I put it on hold at the library. So far, I've seen the names:

Males: Aadam (not a typo), Saleem, Tai, Nadir, Mian Abdullah, Daoud, Hanif, Mustapha, Rashid, Oskar

Females: Naseem, Padma, Ilse, Ingrid, Alia, Mumtaz, Emerald (a nickname, I think)

I like the names Aadam, Naseem, Alia, Padma, and Ilse the best so far.
    Miriam ~ Helena ~ Estella ~ Beatrice ~ Anastasia ~ Alice ~ Marilla ~ Sarah
    Paul ~ Wesley ~ Walter ~ Edmund ~ Isaac ~ Abram ~ Gabriel
