Don't listen to them! I love Ashley for a boy, it feels dated on a girl but fresh and handsome on a boy. Lucius is a great pick though.

And Rene is a male name in France, Renee is the feminine version (I think they usually have accents on but I don't know how to type them)

    Anna Katherine * Lydia Ellen * Zoe Madeleine * Phoebe ___ * Imogen ___ * Emilia ___
    Samuel * Thomas * Charlie * Reuben * Oliver * George

Another vote for Paris - I quite like it on a girl as well actually, but I love it for a boy and I'd use it, definitely.

I also think Brooke on a boy would be lovely, although I prefer the spelling Brook. I like Addison and in the UK it's still pretty rare as a name but you do hear of the odd girl Addison so unfortunately I think the trend is crossing over here

I used to be way more uptight about this though. I think names that have historically been boy should stay there, and surnames with particularly masculine meanings or connotations should stay on boys, as well as surnames ending in -son. I don't mind nature names or place names on either gender, and surnames like Harlow etc. are fair game for either as well.
Livia, sixteen. I like art in all its forms.

    Top Names:

Tobias Rowan Dmitri | August Finnian Beck
Saskia Maeve Kerensa | Bryony Saoirse Wren

Crushing on: James "Jem" (♂) Phoebe, Valeska (♀)

    Jade. Onyx. Emerald. Amber.

But mostly just Jade. I can't get over it, it's so perfect.
I'm not feeling incredibly profound at the moment. Check back later.

I think that any name ending with son could pass for a boy. But not Ashley (maybe in Britain) or Ruby or Kelly. Male teenage Kelly will definitely get gay or feminine jokes.

Names that are/was on my list for a boy...
    Morgan
    Robin
    Harper
    August

Names not ending with son that could be male names...
    Margot
    Blythe
    Merit
    Jael
    Autumn
    Summer
    Willow
    Frances
    Nyx
    Elin (maybe not)
    Calypso
    Blue
    Leontyne
    Charlie
