    Golightly

I have always loved 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and the last name Golightly. All day I've been mulling it over as a first name. I picture it on a boy, but I guess I could see it on a girl too. I mean there's been a lastname-as-a-firstname craze for a while? Am I crazy?

It doesn't work for me, sorry. I do love Breakfast at Tiffanys though.

    I love the name Holly.
Capote could work for me as a surname name nod.

    Are you crazy?

    Yes.

I think it would be fine as a "fun" second middle name, but not as a first name, no way.

I haven't seen the movie, but the book's Holly Golightly is anything but a role model. She's a flighty, silly, demented woman-child, the original Manic Pixie Dream Girl. Golightly fits that character perfectly -- and I would never wish it on an actual child.
