I think just about any nature name works if you pair it with a "name" name. Generally, I would say put the more "out there" nature names in the middle spot and use something established in the first name spot. I don't think any of the names you listed are unusable.

My favorites (girls): Briar, Ember, Skye, Raine, Harbor
Usable (girls): Summer, Aspen, Wren (these are even more "name-y" than my favorites, but to me they are a bit irritating)
Better as middles (girls): East, Echo, Isle, Winter, Star,
Don't care for (girls): Moon, Sunset

My favorites (boys): Ash, River, Condor, Bracken
Usable (boys): North, West, Dune, Cedar, Canyon, (although I think these are realllly pushing it as far as "usable"...most of my "favorites" would be "usable" on any other list)
Better as middles (boys): Birch, Elm, Oak, Frost
Don't care for (boys): Flame, Wolf
Current favorites: Olive, Louise/Louisa, Magdalene/Madeline, Phillipa, Talitha, Mallory, Blythe, Eliza, Mercy, Talia; Calvin, Charles, Gideon, Abram, Jude, Reuben, George, Reid, Clark, Holden.

    I'd consider

    Briar
    Amber (rather than Ember)
I love Echo, but would keep it in the middle
Luna rather than Moon (I actually know two little Luna's)
    Winter
Summer (I grew up with one)
    Skye
    Wren

    Ash
    Cedar
    River
    Wolf (I know one)

I think I prefer nature names for girls rather than boys.

    Others I like include
    Fern
    Saffron
    Pearl
    Opal
    Eve
    Clementine
    Lily
