I second Augustus (m), Augusta (f), sounds equally strong as Indiana, with a matching nn, Auggie, Aggie.

    I loved the suggestions of:

Indiana and Ottilie (even though Ottilie seems a bit more feminine than Indiana to me)

Indiana and Penelope (Indie and Lola would be adorable together)
    Kylee

Maybe since your daughter is named Indianan, you can stick with the location-name theme:

    For girls:

    Florence
    Alexandria
    Charlotte
    Madison
    Geneva

    Or for boys:

    Houston
    Dallas
    Melbourne

All of them can be shortened into hip and original-sounding nicknames:

    Flo
    Alex, Alexa, Al
    Char
    Mad, Madi
    Gen, Gene
    Hou
    Dall
    Mel

Plus, you can visit the locations, or research them to be sure they fit your expectation. Location names are always a fun thing to consider!
