Are nature names to unusual to actually use?

I really like nature names, except some of them really seem a little bit to cruel/unusual to actually use.
Aspen, Skye, and Raine seem fine to use, but then there's Winter, Isle, and Moon.
Are these to unusual to use?
    Girls:
    Briar
    Ember
    East
    Echo
    Isle
    Moon
    Winter
    Summer
    Skye
    Raine
    Aspen
    Star
    Sunset
    Wren
    Harbor
    Boys:
    Ash
    Birch
    Cedar
    Elm
    Oak
    Dune
    Flame
    Frost
    North
    River
    West
    Wolf
    Condor
    Canyon
    Bracken
    Dune

    Thanks for your input!

In my opinion, this is how I would categorise the names.

    Defiantly useable:
    Summer
    Skye
    Aspen
    Wren (love this one!)

    Ash
    River

    Unusual but usable:
    Ember
    Echo
    Winter
    Raine
Harbor (to me, this is more suited to a boy)

    Birch
    Cedar
    Elm
    Oak
    Dune
    North
    West
    Wolf

**I don't think I would use most of the names in this category, despite being usable, they are very unusual and have quite q bit of teasing potential.

    Not usable:
    Briar
    East
    Isle (though Isla is beautiful)
    Moon
    Star
    Sunset

    Flame
    Frost
    Condor
    Canyon
    Bracken

And I just wanted to add that I love Celestia Rose from your signature!

Well I think any are fine in the middle, but as a first name these are the only ones I think are safe to use:

    Briar
    Winter
    Summer
    Rain (I'd drop the e)
    Wren
Sky (drop the e) also prefer Skylar/Skyler

Some alternatives to the ones you listed:
    Amber instead of Ember
    Stella instead of Star
    Luna instead of Moon
    Rowan instead of Birch/Cedar/Elm
    Ashley instead of Ash
    Blaine/Blaze instead of Flame
    Harper instead of Harbor
    Weston instead of West
    Wolfgang instead of Wolf
    Isla/Eila instead of Isle

Some I believe work better on boys:
    East/Easton

In the end this is just my opinion.
    Our Cats:
    Calcifer & Mittzy

I think most of those names are usable. Many are even very similar to more typical names. Ember is like Amber, Isle is like Isla, Condor is like Connor, etc.

I would advise against Moon and Flame because of their teasing potential, though (moon as in mooning someone, flaming as in stereotypically gay). I also don't particularly care for Star, Sunset, or Wolf as names.
