I've always kind of liked Crimson.
Emerald is great - a color as well as a jewel. Peridot is another jewel/color that is nice.
I remember seeing in Vogue magazine once, in the Society section, some rich woman with a baby girl named Ruby Green. I think Green works for either gender, altho now it has an eco-conscious connotation, kinda.
Brown can also work for boys. It has kind of a jaunty feel.Mrs. H.
