I love Miriel and Meriel (Muriel is still growing on me!), as well as several others that may or may not have a connection with the sea...
Also, I like the Finnish Laine which means 'wave', and Sini which means 'blue'.
Other names to do with the sea include:
Rosemary ('sea dew')
Iara/Yara ('water maiden')
Sunila ('dark blue')

My friend has a daughter named Oceana (kind of pronounced like oh-shay-an-uh). I like it. They nicknamed her O.C.Mama Bear to Serenity (gone January 17th, 2011) and Luther Wolf
