Poet for a girl? Middle name ideas?

Hi! I recently the found out that I'm having a baby girl and I'm beyond thrilled. I like tend to lean towards different names that you don't often see. I really like the idea of using literary names and I've toyed with the idea of using Story, but when I'm came across Poet, I liked it even better. A poem is, in my opinion, a more beautiful way to tell a story, after all.
However, I'm not sure what to use as a middle name, especially considering her last name will begin with a "T". I liked Shalom, which means peace, but hubby thinks it's too different when combined with Poet. He had the same opinion on Delphine as a middle name, which I think is an absolutely gorgeous name.

So my questions: Do you think Poet would work as a girl's name? What do you think of Poet Shalom and/or Poet Delphine? What are some other middle names that go nicely with it?

    Thanks in advance!

I like Poet Delphine. Overall, I like Poet better as a middle name because its too wordy/nouny to me. Something like Araminta Poet or Waverly Poet would be adorable!

Hi kayleemarie, congratulations on your little girl and welcome to Nameberry! I hope you'll like it here.

I love literary names too and Poet is beautiful. I do, however, think that it might be a bit too out there to use as a first. I love it as a middle though. I find Poet Delphine more usable than Poet Shalom.

Here are some other names you may like:
    Cleo/Clio
    Wren
    Calla
    Lyra
    India
    Lark
    Anais
    Acacia
    Junia
    Blythe
    Winter
    Marin
    Ayelet
    Olympia
    Olive/Olivet
    Avalon
    Geneva
    Thalia
    Niobe

I wouldn't use another word name with Poet though- then the name starts to sound like a descriptive phrase.
    Hope this helps!
