    Edith

All growing up, I'd always thought my grandmother's name, Edith, seemed ridiculously outdated and like she must have been born 70 years old. But all of a sudden Edith doesn't seem so dusty anymore. Maybe its the popularity of Downton Abbey and seeing Lady Edith's character as a young woman instead of a grandmother.

What are your thoughts on Edith? Would you use it as a first name or a middle name? Right now our top fn choice is Annabelle, so what about Annabelle Edith?

I adore Edith! It's so strong and classic, a great choice. I think it pairs beautifully with Annabelle.

I prefer the no-nonsense, vintage Edith to the more frilly Annabelle but that's just me. Edith Annabelle would be my choice for a combo. I love the nn Edie.
    All the best,

My friend named her girl Edie and I think it is so cute! A great nickname for Edith.

I think it works as a classic name. They really are becoming refreshed. Edie is a cute and spunky nn as well. Annabelle Edith is nice!
