Scout - get over yourself and call the poor child Jean Louise
Scarlett - Miss O'Hara's name was Katherine
Posy - Even in the book 'Ballet Shoes' it is lamented as a dreadful name given by a very young mother.

I think I cringe because these are (mainly) nicknames from some of the most wildly popular books ever written so they have a total association with one character and it's not ever a subtle illusion, it's the name of an incredibly well known central character. I love To Kill a Mocking Bird but don't get me started on the name Atticus for similar reasons.

    Eliette

Names along these lines frustrate me. They are boys names not girls, and misspelling them doesn't make them any more feminine. Although I will say I love Avery on both genders, but Averi/Averie on a girl? Don't get me started.
If I had a baby right now they'd be:
    Isaac
    or
    Blaire
