    Caspian nn Pip ?

    Hi!

Really loving Caspian if this baby turns out to be a boy. Do you think the nickname Pip is too much of a stretch?

I thought about Casper as a nickname but I think perhaps it's a bit weird having an entirely different legitimate name as a nickname.

Can you think of any other nicknames that could work for a little Caspian?

    Would love your opinions. Thanks!

I don't think Pip is too much of a stretch. You could give him a nickname that's not even related to his name, for example my little cousin Alexander is called Pippy/Pip or Maddy/Mad for short. I know they are a little girly but he can pull them both off.

I think it's adorable. The nickname doesn't have to be related to the given name.

It seems a little contrived, honestly. Nicknames usually arise organically and are hard to anticipate prenatally, IMO. Though I do like Caz.
