I think that Azalea is amazing. Its feminine, but at the same time, filled with mystery and wonder.
I also ADORE Alice and I have yet to know an Alice my whole life.

A lot of good ideas here -- reactions, Mrs. B? I am still trying to fully wrap my mind around names that are "well known" but not popular. Like...Helen? Jane?
    Pam Satran

Sorry, I have some repeats here. I have only met a few little Alice's. I don't find it popular, but it could be in your area. My dh and I also detest nn. We named our son Bennett and have insisted to everyone that he is NOT Ben. We just didn't allow it. If you want to use Adelaide, you can prevent the nn. Here are some that I find similar to your style:

    Eliza
    Sadie
    Lydia
    Celia
    Rose
    Juliet
    Daphne
    Phoebe
    Clara
