    What do you think of...

I like Gloria Ann. What do you think? Is it too old lady-ish? Gloria was my great grandmother's name and although it may spark images of grandmas, I'm hoping that her fresh face will abolish that stereotype.

Her initials will be GAD. Any reason that's a bad thing?

    Thanks for your input!

I really like the name Gloria - such a happy name! I think it would sound fresh on a child. I'm not terribly keen on Ann as a middle name for it though, since Gloria and Ann kind of run together. I'm not sure if Ann has any family significance to you, but you might consider a name that ends in Ann/Anne?

    Gloria Marianne
    Gloria Susanne
    Gloria Roseanne
    Gloria Joanne

I don't think that GAD initials are a problem.

I agree with the pp, Gloria is great but it does kind of run together with Ann. I also second Gloria Marianne, not just because that is my middle name but because it sounds good.

Ok, so if Gloria Ann runs in together too much, what about Gloria Frances?

Yes, Ann does have significance. We're trying to give the middle name to one of my in-laws. Ann would be for my mother IL and Frances would be for my father IL (his name is Frank).

I just think Gloria Frances is a bit too antiquey.

Thank you so much fo your input. This is very helpful. I'm due in less than a month and the clock is ticking!

Is your mother-in-law's middle name usable?
