Names that are NOT in the top 1000

We are looking for some unique names for both boys and girls to add to our list. We want names that are not in the top 1,000 to ponder over. Do you Nameberries have any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance!

Once I actually compiled a list of names that aren't in the top 1000 (for 2012)! I only did girls, though... I find girls' names more interesting for some reason. Not sure what your style is... I put my list into categories so I'll give you some of everything:

Names that sound "normal" (where I live):

    Louisa
    Susannah
    Carina
    Cleo/Clio
    May
    Rowena
    Morgana
    Adela
    Devon

Too frilly for many people (though I love this style):

    Aurelia
    Cordelia
    Georgiana
    Portia
    Melisande
    Ottilie
    Cecily
    Rosalind
    Eugenie/Eugenia
    Amaryllis

Would definitely stand out (in Canada at least):

    Imogen
    Persephone
    Vienna
    Camellia
    Acacia
    Winter
    Olympia
    Beatrix
    Freya

    Vintage:

    Agatha
    Maud
    Harriet
    Florence
    Pauline
    Henrietta
    Edina
    Millicent

I hope you like some of these!

    Favourite names:
Girls: Azalea, Cordelia, Elizabeth, Rosalind, Portia, Felicity, Juliet, Scarlett
Boys: Fitzwilliam, Sebastian, Percival, Prospero, Orlando, Darcy

My dh and I have used the same concept! We want our little one to have their own identity and not be one of 5 or 7 same names in the classroom. Some that we have loved are

    Jacinta
    Candice
    Francine
    Opal
    Faustina
    Siri
    Bernadette
    Capucine
    Annaliese
    Crimson

    Jessup
    Briggs
    Henley
    Donahue
    Forrest
    Paigel
    Carlton
    Ramsay

    Good luck!
