    Girl named Murphy

We are throwing around Murphy for a girl. Her brother is named Miller. I realize it is a boy's name and some people just won't like it for a girl. I want something unusual.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

It doesn't sound feminine at all. If I saw a sibset of Miller and Murphy, I'd think there were two boys, not a boy and a girl.

There are unusual girl names out there.

    I'm sorry, I don't like it at all. I don't think it's an attractive-sounding girls' name.

    Yep, agreed.

How about Marcella? It has a similar sound to Murphy and is certainly unusual.

    1. Not my cup of tea.
    2. Seems very masculine.
    3. Seems dated because it reminds me of the tv show Murphy Brown.

I would try to pick something a little more unisex or even a boy's name that has been used more commonly on girls, if that is your naming style. I am sure that there must be some that would be a little more appealing.
Ttc a baby brother or sister for Luther Wolf!
