Ruby is a wonderful choice with Autumn or search the nature names lists on here for great options. Hope seems dated to me- Verity is pretty.

    Lake
    Dahlia
    Meadow

I love Hope. I don't find it to be abrupt, I think it's soft, almost a whisper.

A couple of thoughts for an evocative feel like Autumn Grace: Aurora Hope or Violet Hope

If Hope is too low-key for you (I'm comparing the soft, dusty image I have of Hope to the vibrancy of Scarlett and Ruby, and your member name) you might consider Joy.

I think Ruby Joy has a sunkissed, sparkling feel to it, though it may be a little too southern double-name for some.

I like your descriptions of names. You make them colorful.

    Thanks :-)

I think some names are very evocative. Autumn Grace has a glittering, golden feel to me, for example. I can almost see the little yellow leaves falling from a live oak tree, catching the late afternoon sunbeams.

I actually like the name Hope quite a bit.
I've never met one, but it's definitely recognizable as a name.
Maybe you can get him on board with a more unusual name as a middle--like Hope Juniper.

Autumn Grace is lovely, and I think Hope fits well with it. Hope Winter?

Some more accepted nature and virtue names:
    Willow - Willow Eve
    Charity - Charity Jasmine
    April
    Ivy
    June
    Raina - Raina July
    Verity
    Jasmine
    Winter
    July
    Faith
    Laurel - Laurel Faith
Amber - bit dated, but it sounds well with Autumn
    Dawn - same as above
    Mercy
    Eve
    Livy/Lucy : Geneva/Gwen : Coralie/Alice : Noelle/Eve
    Eli/Bennett : Jude/Zane: Luke/Leo : Levi/Phineas
