Spiritual (not Biblical) names for boys?

Not that I have anything against Biblical names...quite the opposite actually! My boys' list is overrun with them, and I'd like to broaden those horizons. I have so many Christian names that my zen/bohemian/new-age-y side is getting neglected!

I'm searching for names that aren't specifically religious, but do have deeper more spiritual meanings. My guilty pleasure at the moment is Bodhi, and I REALLY need to replace him. I only like the idea of the name, the nature meaning and the associations with enlightenment. I don't even like the sound, and I hate that he's so trendy at the moment, and so stereotypically "woo-woo." I think that if I can collect more names with those richly layered spiritual meanings, I will find it much easier to let go of a name that I only like in theory rather than in practice.

Thanks Berries! I always feel so much better after posting these sorts of internal dilemmas that no one in the "real world" would ever understand...you guys rock my socks!

    Hey Toots,
Dredging your thread up from page 2.
Though I love Nathaniel (used it myself for ghost-baby) I find Zion Nathaniel intensely Biblical.

Zion Ösel (Beautiful and wearable Tibetan name meaning "clear light of the sky.")

Zion Agathangelos (fabulously long.. "angel of good news" or something)

Zion Cobalt (think of all those cobalt blues in early Renaissance paintings.. there's something holy about cobalt blue)

Zion Ajax (no reason, but isn't it good?)

Zion Ronin (wandering samurai and all that)

Zion Oceanus (the vast unknowable.. It's a nature name made less hippyish by the -US ending, and the fact that it's the name of the only child born on the Mayflower)

Zion Leander (alternative to Nathaniel. There's also Leandros. Both mean "lion of a man." Lover of Hero in Greek mythology. Plus he'd have a built-in Bob Marley song - Iron Lion Zion)

Zion Talib ("seeker of knowledge" Arabic)

    Zion Rumi

That's all I've got for the moment. Osprey, Yarrow, and Mazadan are delicious. As are so many others previously suggested, that I must go look up immediately!
