    How to spell the name "lay-na"

    Title says it all.... Lana? Lena? Laina?

    I think Laina. Cute!

    Lana is "lah-na" to me
    And Lena is "Lee-na"

    Lana, Laina, or Leina.

    Lena to me is Lee-na.

    My favorite is Laina.

    I like Lena. I know to a lot of people it's Lee-nah, but in many languages it'd be Lay-nah, and it's the only one that really looks like an actual name--Laina and Layna to me look like you're just trying to spell out the sound, like they're not really names on their own. Besides, I knew a Brazilian Layna--her name was pronounced LIE-nah, like the end of North Carolina, so I think Laina or Layna could have pronunciation problems of their own. I really love Lena "lay-nah", though!
