    Wasn't Christine/Christina a feminine version of Christian?

I've known a female Christian before as well. (As well as dozens of Christina, Kristina, Christiana, Christine, etc.)
Honestly, it's such a religious name that it feel unisex to me. It's like you're making more of a religious point than a gender point.

Of all the names that people have asked "Can I use this for a girl?" this is one of the ones that is the least shocking or weird to me. Sure my first thought if I heard the name would probably be that it belonged to a boy, but I can't imagine commenting on it if it was a girl the way I have for names like Hunter, Griffin, or Micah (all of which I've met on girls)

In the middle ages it was quite common with more boyish names on girls. Julian for example. I don't think Christian works on a girl though.

I work with a lady named Christen. While I think it's pretty it throws me every time still.

I think this is one of the very few names that actually works wonderfully on both genders. Both males and females can be Christians so I think the name works on both genders. That being said I do prefer it for a boy.
