Cassie is fine on it's own, but I'd prefer Cassidy nn Cassie.

Cassie is a lovely nickname but it doesn't make a good given name, IMO.

Cassie is totally fine on its own. I know a woman (she's 32 now and is my godmother's oldest daughter) who goes exclusively by Cassie. Her given name is Cassandra but I didn't even know that until a couple of years ago because no one calls her that! The fact that she even has a "full" name is weird to me, everyone knows her as just Cassie. And it totally works. I say go for it!

I LOVE Cassie! (I was almost named Cassidy when I was born, nickname Cassie. Honestly, at time, I wish I had been.) And I LOVE Cassidy. But I do think Cassie is good enough to be a stand alone name.
