    I think that the ann sound is redundant. I really would love to see Annie instead of Eliana. I think it is much fresher.

    I agree that it doesn't sound good, but that Annie works as a nickname for Eliana. You could spell it Elianna if you want the connection to be more obvious - i do know people who use that spelling.

    I think you could argue that Eliana honors Annie since the "ana" part is very obvious.

    Nooo, don't do that. I would HIGHLY suggest Eliana with the nickname Annie! Eliana Belle "Annie Belle" or Eliana Grace "Annie Grace" sound wonderful.
