    Thoughts on the name Ezra

I have been having a hard time coming up with a boys name as I am indecisive. For some reason I have really been liking the name Ezra lately so i was wondering thoughts on this name? Also if you have any middle name suggestions I'm open to those as well. Thanks

I adore Ezra! I think it's strong sounding and still pretty uncommon although I have been enjoying seeing it creep slowly up the popularity tables.

I love Ezra! I personally prefer it as a MN, but it's a lovely FN, too. Spencer Ezra is on my list, so Ezra Spencer was my first idea, but I also really like Ezra Theodore. Ezra Lucian is nice, too. What about:

    Ezra Julian
    Ezra Felix
    Ezra Rhys
    Ezra Gray/Ezra Grey
    Ezra Tiernan
    Ezra Finnian
    Ezra Holden
    Ezra Gabriel
    Ezra Damian
    Ezra Dominic
    Ezra Benjamin
    Ezra Benedict
    Ezra Morgan
    Ezra Nicholas

    Good luck!

I don't like it much, as I think of a crochety graybearded patriarch-type figure. It doesn't sound young to me, nor does it fit in too well in today's environment of smooth modern boy names (i.e. Aidan, Mason).

Ezra is a lovely biblical name. It isn't too popular, but still familiar. It's quirky and fresh. Ezra led fifteen hundred Israelites out of Babylon to Jerusalem. That's a pretty awesome namesake.
