I love Hugo. Love that it echoes the long O sound of Moses without being matchy. I think it perfectly matches the quirky vintage vibe you have going. Remy is more feminine to me, and in my accent, it just sounds like 'Rimmy,' which doesn't do anything for me at all.

All Remy's I know are female. Remy is very nicknamey. Remy is a nn. for Remington.

I much prefer Hugo. Very strong and great meaning. Dinstinctly male. A softer supplement for Hugo is Hugh or Arlo.

I absolutely love both names. Remy is all boy to me. However, I do think that Hugo "fits" better with Moses and Violet.
