    Lyle for a girl

I posted a while ago with my top 10...and I have it narrowed down to 2. I really wanted an "L" name for our daughter to match me, our son, as well as my entire family. Husband is on board.
Problem is - all the L's are so terribly popular (Lily, Lucy, Layla, Leila).
So, I arrived at LYLE. And I really like it. I'm getting a lot of positive feedback from friends, but I also have gotten some sideways looks about it.
Asking for feedback on the name for a girl OR exciting, new unique L names.....

I like Lila (LYE-lah) a lot more for a girl--Lyle will irrevocably be a boys' name for me. As for more obscure "L" names, what about:

    Luna
    Lorelei
    Lisette
    Lark
    Laurel
Lilibet (much more obscure than Lily, but the same charm, imo! If she's on the shier side, she can opt for Lily or Lila, or if she's more out-there, she could opt for the sweet and up-coming Betsy. It's sort of on the cutesy side, but I still really love it)
Lydia (on the more popular side, but less overdone than Lily, Lucy, and Layla)
    Louisa
    Lara
    Lena
    Lenora
    Leona

    Good luck!

Honestly, if I saw Lyle on a girl, I'd be trying to pronounce it lie-leh, like a variation on Lila/Lilah...
Lyle is very much a boy (or a friendly crocodile) for me.

It's a boys' name to me too I'm afraid. How about:

    Leonine
    Lucinda
