I know a few Stella's that are various ages, so it doesn't seam like an old lady name to me at all!

It's so not old lady! In fact, it's been a pretty popular name over recent years. I'd say it's become quite trendy.

When I was younger, all the Stellas I knew were middle aged. Now I have encountered more teenage Stellas so it doesn't seem too old to me.

Stella is old-fashioned in a new way to me but the first thing I think is Elaine Benes hopped up on muscle relaxers screaming STELLLLLAAAAAA! on Seinfeld. It's a pretty cool name though! Just curious, what ethnicity does Stella Gold sound like to you?
