Your name is Madeline Olive Craig, you are twenty-five years old, and you are living in New York City. You are working as a cake decorator.

You have just spent a nostalgic Thanksgiving with your family and are flying back home one brisk autumn morning. As you are getting off the plane, you notice a man struggling to reach his carry-on bag while holding two little girls, one in each arm. Appalled that no one is helping him, you stop and offer to take his bag in addition to your own. Exasperated and short of breath, he is grateful for the help. He introduces himself as Colin James Elijah Gill and the two little girls as his daughters. The eldest is three years old, while her sister is two. Their initials must be, respectively, P.R.H. and A.J.J.

Their names are Phoebe Rose Helena Gill and Alice Josephine Juno Gill.

As you walk on to claim your baggage, you learn that his wife died two years ago, shortly after their second daughter was born, and that he has been raising the two girls as a single father ever since. Touched by his story (and charmed by his adorable daughters) you are pleasantly surprised to further discover that he lives less than an hour away from you in the same city. To thank you for your help, he suggests that you go out for coffee and you readily accept.

Pretty soon you are becoming something of a mother-figure to the two girls and after you have been dating for a year, the eldest girl informs you in a whisper that she saw her father looking at brochures with sparkly diamond rings on them. Sure enough, not a week later he proposes! You are married on April 13th and your dress looks like:

    You honeymoon in Florence, Italy.

You are perfectly content with your family of four and love the girls as if they were your own. On your second wedding anniversary, you find out that you are two months pregnant! Both you and your husband are overjoyed that you will finally have a child of your own. You decide to find out the gender of the baby before it is born – it’s a girl! Seven months later, she is born, with a full head of hair and big, bright eyes. It is a tradition in your husband’s family for all children to have two middle names (one of your choice and one that honors a family member). Since your other daughters’ names honor people on your husband’s side of the family, he insists that one of this baby’s middle names honors someone in your family. Her first name and one of her middles is up to you, but her other middle name honors your grandmother.

Your daughter’s name is Violet Eleanor Daphne Gill.

Three years later, you discover that you are pregnant again! A little boy is born this time, and your husband is ecstatic to have a son at long last. His first and one of his middle names are your choice, but it is very important to your husband that his first son’s other middle name somehow honors his father, who is named Nathan.

Your son’s full name is Henry Nathan Elliot Gill.

Two years later, when your daughters are ten, nine and five and your son is two, you decide to take a family holiday to a famous landmark for summer vacation. You go to Stonehenge, United Kingdom.

When you get back from your vacation, you discover that you are pregnant, one last time. Another baby boy is born, and you choose to make one of his middle names honor your grandfather.

Your son’s full name is Oliver George Elias Gill.

    Your family is now complete!
