Ooh, yay! I love it when people actually want honesty, not just NMS (so boring).

    Boys:

    I love:
    Desmond
    Dexter
    Elliot
    Felix
    Hugo
Ignatius (although it might be a bit too out there, Iggy is a cool nn though)
    Jude
    Leonidas
    Oliver
    Phineas
    Soren
    Theodore

    I like (or find unobjectionable):
Abraxas – but it is really unusual and I think it'd be better off in the middle with a more common first name
Aurelian – a bit soft though
Barnabas – a lot of name, but the right kid could pull it off
Caius – this is okay. I had it on my “don't like” list until I realised I didn't actually mind it that much. Depending on the pairing it could easily tip over to pretentiousness though, I'd pair it with a classic.
    Evander
    Orion
Tobias – I have heard of lots of new baby Tobias' lately, though.

    I don't care for:
Basil – reminds me of that squirrel..
Chester – feels like the stereotypical dorky name. I love a lot of old fusty names that people might find dorky but this is just irredeemably nerdy (in a bad way).
Clive – feels really tryhard British to me.
Eden – don't care for it on a boy.
    Gage – way too trendy.
Lorcan – too harsh a sound, isn't pleasant to my ears.
Percival – this could be okay in the middle but as a first name I hate it. Percy is terrible too.
Phoenix – way too trendy. This and Gage feel really odd with the rest of your list.

    potential combos:
    Desmond Theodore
    Hugo Leonidas
    Elliot Abraxas
    Ignatius Theodore
    Phineas Evander
    Felix Basil
    Soren Dexter

    Girls:

    I love:
    Eleonora (although prefer spelling Eleanora)
    Felicity
    Juno
    Rosalind
    Violet

    I like:
    Astrid
    Aurelia
    Blythe
    Calliope
    Delilah
    Genevieve
    Olivia
    Penelope

    I don't care for:
Astoria – feels really “trying to be classy” and falls short.
Evangeline – way too much of a religious feel to it (evangelist)
Hermione – too Harry Potter fan girl. I know that wouldn't be off putting to everyone but it puts me off. I also don't care for the look of it.
Iola – feels too flimsy, too many vowels and not enough consonants. Feels like i'm gargling when I say it.
Narcissa – too close to narcissist. Wouldn't want my child's name to have strong negative connotations

    potential combos:

    Eleonora Blythe
    Felicity Iola
    Juno Calliope
    Rosalind Astoria
    Violet Evangeline
    Astrid Felicity
    Aurelia Penelope
    cassia | vivian | flora
    peregrine | jolyon | arthur

    Boys - Yes:
Abraxas - This name is very cool in it's look and feel. It's a little out there, but I like the nicknames Abe, Abie, & Rax.
Desmond - This name is elegant, masculine, and has a cool nickname: Des/Dez. It's perfect!
Dexter - This name is cute and spunky. Good choice.
Elliot - I'm really surprised this name isn't more popular. It's a really nice name.
Ignatius - This name is super cute. I'd love to see a little Iggy!
Soren - Soren is just a really cool name.

    Girls - Yes:
Astrid - I love this name! It's so cute and I love the meaning.
Calliope - This name is pretty cool, especially if you call her Callie.
Genevieve - This beautiful, elegant, princess-y name would be a great choice for a modern girl.
Rosalind - Rosalind is one of my favorite names! It's got a great literary ties (As You Like It), and a vintage flare.
I'm a young writer who's obsessed with baby names!!!!!!!!
    Favorite names coming soon...
