    Which spelling: Mikayla or Michaela?

I'm not having kids anytime soon, but I would like to know which spelling you prefer. Michaela is the traditional way, but some people think that it sounds like "Michael-ah" upon first reading it, and they tend to prefer the spelling Mikayla as they think it makes more sense. On the other hand, some people don't like the spelling Mikayla because it isn't the traditional spelling.

    What side are you on?

You would probably get more responses posting in the Baby Names forum....this is the Baby Name Games forum.

To answer your question, I prefer the traditional spelling of Michaela.

Definitely I prefer Michaela. It looks more authentic. I really don't like any of its variations as they are so deviated from the original.
