My Mom's name is Barbara and I know several other Barbaras in their late 50's to 80's. I can't say that I think it's ready for a comeback. Also, I detest the nickname Barb.

    Current favorites:
    Boy: Asa Guillaume, Barnaby August
Girl: Apolline Iris- Polly, Clothilde Juno- Chloe

I don't like it beacause everyone I ever met was pretty much an awful human being. They all have huge egos and know everything. I'm sure not every Barbara is this way but it clouds my judgement. Saint Barbara has a wonderful story if you are interested in that . I think it could be a nice mn!

I like Barbara. The nn. Berry is cute.

    Barbara:
    _spelled easily
    _pronounced easily
    _long history
    _fun sound

I think it could be revived.

I've never met a Barbara and I'm not really a fan of this name.
