    Want a Headache?

Just read these names in this thread on Facebook. OMG. Why can't people just use the correct spellings? Why is there such a need to be kre8tiv? I don't get it.

Zaiquiri (Zachary), Learic (Lyric), Alohcin (Allison), Knadley (???), Maddyson (Madison) are the top 5 worst ones on there. My name is Erykah (my mom ripped it off of Erykah Badu who was popular in the 90s), a "unique" spelling, but at least it doesn't look as dumb as Zaiquiri.

Some of them it's hard to tell what they're even supposed to be. If the mom didn't say, I wouldn't know. Awful! At least Erykah looks like it would be pronounced Erica.

Oh boy. I don't understand the fascination behind "unique" spellings. If it sounds the same when said aloud, she will still be called Alysabeth B. or whatever. The spelling just doesn't change the sound. It also makes me kind of upset that some names are just completely made up. I mean I am all for sentimental value, but names are names, not sounds or made up words. I think the worst are probably below.

    Penelopie
    Kenzlie
    Raigyn
    Knightleigh
    Jaidalyn
Alyzabelah *Pretty sure this is the worst.
    Katrielle
    Alohcin
    Zevione
    Alysabeth
    Dezirae
    Zaiquiri
    Alisayne
    Abrynne
    Wyllow
    Loren
    Lynzee
    Trinitee
    Lehia
    Cyrisha
    Kinsleigh
    Starr
    Rhylee
    Aidien
    Jhames
    Divinitii
    JaKaylyn
    Arienne
    Natassia
